Hello Community,
Sometimes our clients complains that they don't receive the emails sent via Ironclad. The reason might be they don't have whitelisted mg.ironclad.com domain. Can we ensure if it is not whitelisted they still receive the email ?
Hi @Pawan_Thapa! Thanks for raising this — it's a common pain point and worth clarifying how Ironclad's email delivery works end to end.
The short answer: Ironclad cannot guarantee delivery if the sending domain is not allowlisted on the recipient's side.
Here's why: Ironclad sends all workflow notification emails through our email delivery infrastructure (Mailgun), using the sending domain mg.ironcladapp.com. Once we confirm the email was successfully sent and accepted by the recipient's mail server, delivery responsibility shifts to the recipient's internal email infrastructure. If that infrastructure has strict filtering rules and mg.ironcladapp.com is not allowlisted, messages may be quarantined, filtered to spam/junk, or silently dropped — all outside of Ironclad's control.

For steps to ensure reliable delivery — including spam/junk folder checks, adding Ironclad as a contact, and allowlisting our sending domains and IP addresses for IT administrators — please refer to our Help Center article: Email Notification Triggers.
Our team can also check our delivery logs on our end to confirm whether the email was successfully sent — just reach out to Ironclad Support with the workflow ID and the approximate timestamp.
Hope this helps clarify things!
