Hi everyone,
I wanted to throw an idea out to the community and see if anyone else is facing a similar challenge, or if anyone knows if something like this is on the product roadmap.
Right now, we love using Ironclad's turn tracking, but we frequently run into a visibility bottleneck during the internal review stages. Often, an agreement will look like it is sitting in "Legal Review" when it is in-house, which gives the impression that the contract is bottlenecked by Legal. However, in reality, Legal is just waiting on the internal workflow owner to provide missing business details, signatory information, etc.
Because the status is lumped together internally, it makes it hard to accurately report on where the contract is actually stalled and skews our internal turnaround metrics.
We would love to see an expanded status tracker or more granular turn tracking that can differentiate between:
- Workflow Owner: Waiting on the internal business owner for inputs/details.
- Legal Review: Actively being reviewed by the legal team.
- SME Review: Out for approval with specific internal stakeholders (finance, compliance, security, etc.).
- With Counterparty: Out for external review (which works great today!).
Has anyone found a workaround for this using custom attributes or specific sequential review setups? And to the Ironclad team, are there any plans to expand internal turn-tracking granularity in future updates?
Thank you!
