PDF Workaround

Does anyone have any workarounds to deal with the inability to use a PDF as the document that starts a workflow? We are interested in using Ironclad to send out security documentation that can't be put into Word form. Is this just something that isn't possible right now with Ironclad or has anyone found a setting or workaround that I might be missing.

Appreciate any suggestions!

Glad I'm not the only one! It seems like it should be a pretty basic feature. I would be curious to know if this is something in the works or not. It would be great to get all documents into Ironclad but without the ability to use PDFs we aren't able to do that.

We definitely hear you on this. I'm afraid this isn't actively in the works, but the Workflow Designer team is hard at work, and your feedback is incredibly valuable to them for prioritizing their roadmap!

I would love this functionality. I currently replace the docs with blank ones so that it is not part of the signature packet

Hey @cai_gogwilt - any updates here? We also have a use case where the appendices to an agreement that starts a workflow are pdfs, one of which has their own signature lines (and we want to keep it that way). I want it "idiot proofed" and not having the workflow owner or anyone else having to manually add the appendices every time.

Agreed. Our Construction SOW's are PDF's and it would be lovely to be able to upload them to start a workflow.

Has there been any movement on this? Like @Henrik_Ramel , we really need to have a workflow that includes both an main editable Word document (MSA), but also related appendix that we want to present in PDF format.

We could also live with a process where there is a workflow for each appendix that uses a PDF, and those workflows can be auto started when someone requests an MSA workflow.

Quite often, those additional documents are the ones we want to have in PDF, while the main template is a word doc. Though other times, we'd like the workflow to initially include a PDF as the main doc, but then be able to easily convert to word if the customer insists on editing it.
