We are in a huge transition phase and our main goal initially was to just get documents into the system (It was at the beginning of COVID), so we lumped MSA/SOW into the same document type. We did discover that we were missing copies of a lot of the MSA's, so we have been able to tighten things up from that perspective.
In the near future, I would like to eventually separate out the MSA’s and SOW’s into two separate file/record types. The goal is to get everything linked in together and sort of create a parent/child relationship with the pipe dream of allowing SOW’s meeting certain criteria to bypass legal review. If we don't have a valid MSA, reject review of the SOW.
Needless to say, this is above my skill level, I’m merely a Paralegal on a mission, but I think it’s doable with assistance, time, and a lot of Advil. Lol
Has anyone else foolishly taken on a similar project?
Thanks!
