Address Field Mapping

Based on how our contract data is fed into our ERP system - it would be helpful if you could map the address data provided to multiple lines on a template vs. one line. Our ERP system intakes the address data as multiple line items (broken out as:

Address

City

State

Zip/Country...) so does not ingest the address correctly from Ironclad which maps the address as one line item. Currently, the finance team has to manually correct all the address data, looking to update our templates so the formatting matches but also don't want to lose the auto-complete/population of address data supported by the current Ironclad Address field. Thanks.

Yeah, this is super frustrating.

This even happens when mapping Address inside Ironclad...

I have the Counterparty Address (an Address type field) set on a repository record. In a different workflow, I'm attempting to pull in the Counterparty Address to the current workflow's Counterparty Address field.

When I do this, the full address maps into the Street field.

You can break the address into multiple lines if you click the address tag and then go to format. Unfortunately, it will not let you control which text goes on which lines.

Just want to formally declare my frustration about this as well. I've just updated our template to use the Parent Record feature, but the addresses are pulled into the street line for the new records as @David_Wieseneck describes.

This is clearly sub-optimal from a data quality point of view.

Also frustrated that you can't correctly pull address from related/parent record to populate in the launch form!

@Adrie_Christian not sure if this helps your situation or not but you can create separate address fields using a formula to extract the address component you need. See below screenshot showing street portion formula.

I'm not sure I understand the last suggestion on this thread but has there been a solution to this? I am trying to map a related records address to a new record address and running into the same issue which will cause undue admin time. @David_Wieseneck
