New user here and hoping to see if the crowd has wisdom for me. One of the initial use cases that brought us to Ironclad is having the ability to track key dates within a large number of active purchase agreements (real estate development company - we have sites under contract for an extended period of time while figuring out the viability of the project). Simple enough, but here are my two issues:
1. The initial purchase agreement (PSA) often gets amended at least a few times over the course of the contract lifecycle. The amendments will revise things like an extension of the due diligence period (which then affects related fields that trigger off the expiration of the due diligence period, for example). As I've been loading our PSAs and amendments into the repository, I've been linking them as related documents, however I'm interested in how others may handle tracking key fields as they get amended over time. I plan to create reminders for things like expiring due diligence periods in our PSAs, but if it's only pulling that field from the initial document, the information will be out of date.
2. Related to the same type of fields, the due diligence period, for example, is given as a duration in the contract, not a set expiration date. I'd like to automatically calculate those types of dates. Is that possible in the repository or just when processing a new agreement through a workflow.
Probably some rookie questions, thanks for any thoughts and your patience.
