Use case: For some contracts (usually our paper & zero redlines) like an standard NDA, the signature process is almost "rubber stamped" by an Exec at the company. In fact, I have seen contracts have a pre-filled signature in a PDF for these types of contracts. Sometimes it a image that is copy/pasted in the PDF (this doesn't sound legit, but I have seen a lot of companies do it).
Idea; In Workflow Designer, allow the system to skip sending out the eSignature request to the company signer if it hits a certain trigger (eg Draft = Generated From Template & no Redlines) & instead adding the signature to the document directly (or telling the Docusign API to add the signature).
It can fall back to sending out via eSignature request to the company signer the normal way if the contract is no from a template or if redlines are made (eg Draft = Not Generated From Template).
Very similar to how we have set up Auto-Archive (Document is generated from template and eSigned) if the document is low risk & therefore does not need to be reviewed before going into the repository.
This would then allow the company to safely "rubber stamp" sign certain docs without having to bug the Exec for immaterial contracts. And the end result would be a fully eSigned document with a full signature set.
