Set a Default View in Dashboard and Repository

It would make a lot of sense if you could set a default view in the Dashboard and the Repository instead of having to click your view every time. Especially in the Repository, it goes back to the default view every time I click to another page in the interface.

AGREED! I figured I must not be able to find the option to hold the view, having to resent each time is not good.

As good as the IC Product Team in implementing some solid IC features, the lack of flexibility in configuring and updating Repository Views is lack luster. To Daniel's point above, you can't have a default view. It's always set to "All Records." It would be really nice to have this for speed and flexibility. It would also be nice to have:

1. Ability to copy Repository Views
2. Share Repository Views with other IC license holders (just like you can in the Dashboard).
3. Ability to "update / save" a current view when you have a need to add more filters or columns (just like you can in the Dashboard).

Hi everyone, Thanks for the discussion and feedback here! Our team has been working on a major usability project that will help with several of the points raised within this thread.

Our goal is that by late this year/early next there will be a single contract list, combining your inflight workflows and your signed contracts. It's testing really well in our early usability testing and there are some features of this new combined list that will be helpful here:

When you exit a contract back to return to the contract list it will remember which filter you will looking at and keep that filter applied.
It will keep the dashboard's ability to share views with other Ironclad users.
It will provide the ability to update/save a view when you edit columns or filters.

We'll start to talk more broadly about these changes and our plan in the second half of the year, but I wanted to acknowledge this thread and communicate that we are working on some changes that will begin to help.

I see that the new single contract list functionality you described is imminent, but have not seen anything regarding having a default view. Can you confirm that the ability to set a default view that will load every time you load into Ironclad is actually coming?

Well, ladies and gentlemen, it's finally happened! It's been nearly 2 years (or 1 year and 8 months to be exact), but we do have it. The system does indeed remain in the last view you set every time you go into the dashboard! WOW. It's amazing how much of a difference this makes. AND we got the entities feature as well!! Truly mind blown at this point and extremely excited to use Ironclad with these new features. A big thank you to the Ironclad development team for their work on this!

P.S. I don't know how to change the status of this idea to completed or whatever it is, but if a mod can please do that I would appreciate it because I don't think I can change it on my end.
