Renaming Launched Workflows

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone has discovered a way to rename workflows once they are launched. To clarify, I'm referring to the "record display name," not the document name; we have been periodically updating the display name for several of our workflows as we determine the best fit for each scenario, but find it confusing that workflows launched before these changes were implemented do not follow the same configuration. Screenshot attached of the display name settings under workflow designer.

Is this a potential feature request?
