De-coupling Templates and Workflows

I am new-ish to Ironclad and lean on our Legal Ops team (so apologies if this mis-understands how it currently works).

I would like to see Template documents and Worflows de-coupled (big ask, I know, as this is probably fundamental to the architecture). I want to create a template that lives independently from workflows and can be added to multiple workflows. Then you only have to update that template once and it will promulgate across all workflows that use that template. This would also be a step towards allowing workflows to be used as a ticketing system not tied to a contract request.

I don't know if this has been addressed, but to clarify, are you wanting a "template" of a document that you want to upload to different workflows (the questions and conditions) or are you wanting a "workflow" (a standard set of questions and conditions) that you can apply to different documents? For me, we wanted a standard set of conditions and questions that we could import to other documents so we would not have to recreate the wheel every time. To do that, I created the most complicated document we have as a workflow and then saved it as an unpublished document we could duplicate. From the workflow designer, I select the unpublished document and from the three dots on the right, I select Duplicate and rename it to the document I want to create. I can then edit the paper that is attached to that workflow, and remove questions or conditions that do not apply. This has been successful even with the attached Schedule A's I have for many documents. Hope that was helpful!
