I know that persisted roles are not available for conditional role assignments (as noted in this Support article). But I'm curious if this will change anytime in the future?
Using advanced conditions in the "Review" phase, my workflows automatically assign an attorney on the team to review that particular workflow, depending on which team the request comes from. E.g., if the Marketing team is requesting a contract review, it automatically gets assigned to Lawyer X, using advanced conditions. But in using advanced conditions, I can't make it so that the Archiver in the "Archive" phase is whichever lawyer got assigned the legal role in the "Review" phase.
The only solution I've found is to duplicate the same advanced conditions from the "Review" phase into the "Archive" phase in the Workflow designer. But that could result in a mismatch between the Legal role and the Archive role, if the person assigned to the Legal role is changed during the Review phase of a launched Workflow (rather than automatically then assigning that person to the Archiver role as well).
