Druva is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal or Associate Counsel to join our legal team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our legal and compliance functions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and organized professional with a strong legal background and a passion for technology. Our company's headquarters are in Santa Clara, CA and this role is full time with three days a week in the office (which may change over time.)
Responsibilities:
Contract Management:
- Assist in the drafting, review, and management of contracts, including NDA's, vendor agreements, and customer contracts (including Data Processing Agreements and Business Associate Agreements.)
- Organize and maintain a contracts database/repositories and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Compile information/statistics as requested
Technology:
- Implement, enhance and maintain legal tools such as the JIRA ticketing system, Ironclad, etc.
- Train legal/privacy Team, and broader business (e.g. Sales) where applicable, upon legal tools.
- Manage and update legal templates
Legal Research:
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support the legal team.
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes and legal trends affecting the industry.
Compliance Support:
- Assist in regulatory compliance activities, including export compliance screening.
- Help prepare reports and documentation for compliance audits.
- Assist in maintaining corporate records, filings, and compliance with corporate governance requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, completion of an accredited paralegal program
- JDs with 1-2 years experience welcome OR
- At least 3-5 years of experience working as a paralegal, preferably in a technology or SaaS company.
- Strong knowledge of contract management, legal research, and compliance procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in legal software and databases. Ironclad preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The pay range for this position is expected to be between $112,000 and $149,333/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized, non-discriminatory factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, and equity.
