Reaching out for any ideas in relation to a workflow setup that would enable to efficiently track legal SLAs.
As for background:
- We have tried to implement "turn tracking" for this, but due to its current limitations ("counterparty vs us" possibility only) it does not serve the purpose for tracking our internal teams' SLAs separately. We tried to set it up in a way that "us" is for our legal internal review and "counterparty" is everthing else (even if the contract sits with our internal sales team), but it's really confusing the way it is and thus people do not use it accurately. Also, it's rather manual to do this each time so people also tend to forget.
- We were also trying to implement a workaround where we could calculate legal SLAs based on the approval timestamps. So we tried to built a workflow that would have a (1) sales rep approval for each modification; (2) legal approval for each modification and then eventually (3) sales reps approval again for the final document in order to proceed to signing. But the obstacle with this setup is that it's not possible to add the workflow owner (aka the sales reps) approval twice (for each modification and then for final doc approval).
How have you solved this within your teams? Really appreciate your advice around this as the need for good reporting of legal SLAs is increasing within our company 🙂
