Hi Team,
I'm not seeing where this may have been asked before, so apologies if a repeat.
I'd like the same approver to be triggered twice in a workflow - which at least in the standard way is not currently allowed in workflow designer. Has anyone found a workaround for this to end up at the same result? Below is the sample scenario.
1. Workflow Owner launches a workflow that produces a loan draw request that includes (1) a certificate (template) and (ii) an uploaded PDF of the line by line detail of the funding request. At this stage, the numbers aren't ready, but since it is such a time crunch from when the numbers are final to when they need to be submitted, the workflow is kicked off early so applicable team members can review the certificate portion and confirm our reps/certifications in the meantime.
2. Once the applicable team members have given approval on the certificate, the workflow is back in the Workflow Owner's court to update with the uploaded draw detail. (This used to essentially be the last step and it was working fine, but now accounting wants to break into two steps for separate interim reviews). An interim version goes out to Team A for approval.
3. Ideally, when Team A approves, it would come back to the Workflow Owner one more time to then upload the final version of the uploaded draw detail for Team B to approve before signature - but I can't put the Workflow Owner here again. One thought I had was if there was a way that Team A's approval resets the Workflow Owner's Approval (but nobody else's), but I'm not seeing a way to make that happen either.
This may just be a dead end to make us pursue a better overall plan, but wanted to see if this group had thoughts.
Thanks!
