My current company loves Slack. They love the collaborations, the threads, customizable emojis, and channels. Unfortunately for me, this is my first experience with Slack and I am overwhelmed.
In my past life, we were a Microsoft company. We used Teams and Outlook. I was able to search for past conversations pretty easily. I can find previously attached files with relative ease.
For some reason, I can't seem to do the same on Slack. Perhaps the search function is too powerful, the results are overly inclusive. If someone answered in a thread, it is as if it went to a blackhole.
Any one got any tips they've learned or best practices to help them manage Slack and turn headache into an effective tool? Common etiquette for proper Slacking would also be appreciated!
