IDEA: Add Intake question type to allow selection from list of Ironclad Users to add as Participants

It would be super helpful to have a question type at Intake that allows the requestor to select from Ironclad Users and then adds the selected person/people to the resulting workflow as Participant(s).

We are currently working around this by having a question where the requestor is required to enter the internal email address of the desired Participant (in this case their Sales Director), and then sending that person an automatic email instructing them to go to the workflow and add themselves as a Participant, but this is clunky and time consuming and not at all an ideal user experience.

I second this, we need to loop in a participant but do not want workflows held up with approval, I found a thread from Oct 2023 saying that this was coming in Q4 but it does not seem like it is an option at this time. Has anyone else found a workaround that works better than this?

Hi @Teresa_Schmitt,

Another option for a workaround (obviously not ideal) is going to the "Create" stage of Workflow Designer and create an automatic email that is sent to certain individuals or end user groups when the Workflow is Launched (incl. based on a specific condition or "always") - with a standard message letting them to join the workflow.

@Erin_Till -- An ideal user experience would be that in "Create" stage of workflow IC add another tab called "Participants" - in which an IC customer can choose who will be added as "Participant" in the workflow based on certain conditions (similar to the "Approvers" under "Review" section - but w/o the need to approve for the workflow to proceed).

@Gal_Bruck Yes, that's exactly what we're doing. But it's clunky and requires additional steps that would be avoided by the option I've suggested. Thank you.

Hi team - in the Settings section of Create exists the capability of configuring workflow access, including participants. For us, pairing this with both conditions and automated emails this resolved for our team, though each org has their own needs.
