This isn't really an Ironclad question, more of a general legal ops vent, but does anyone else have issues making it clear to counterparties that they can reassign DocuSign (or any e-signature) requests to their authorized signatories? From what I can tell it seems to be a universal problem for us all to come to an agreement on that aspect of the DocuSign process, despite practically the whole world being pretty familiar with DocuSign. Maybe it's because some companies allow reassignment and others do not, but I feel like DocuSign should make this feature more intuitive.
My automated text in my DocuSigns says "please review and sign, or reassign to your authorized signatory" but I get multiple requests a week to resend the DocuSign to signatories myself. It's a small effort each time but it does add up, and I feel that sometimes contracts get stuck with reviewers because of this. I've checked that my settings in DocuSign and Ironclad allow reassignment for all requests.
Am I doing something wrong here, or expecting too much of counterparties? Any tips? Maybe writing the instructions in all caps, in "VERY IMPORTANT CONTRACT CLAUSE" style? 😂
