I'm in the same boat, but I don't want to send individual reminders for each workflow in flight, I want to send a reminder every [x] days to all workflow owners with a report attached that lists all active [x] workflows WHEN stage is create/review AND turn is with counterparty AND last activity is more than [x] days. I want to be able to customize the reminder to the workflow owner, directing them to check the status with the Counterparty and update IC record. They may find the turn should be with us as they uploaded redlines and unticked the change turn box or received acceptance from client but forgot to approve it, to get to signature step. As the turn process is quite manual and it's easy to miss an approval (if there is more than one in the list), I think sending out automated reminders regularly to check status of inflight workflows is really important, but sales will not appreciate an individual reminder for each workflow so sending a report plus a message is better. I want to do the same when turn is with us internally and send to Assignee.

@Grace_Barrett - I agree, the "Turn" feature is too manual and leaves room for error/oversight (leading to inaccurate data re: time spent w/legal)

Ideal Solution: if a workflow owner uploads a new document either (i) the turn automatically returns to the Company; or (ii) upon upload the user is prompted with a box that asks if this returns the "Turn" to the Company

Similarly for if the "Turn" is with the Counterparty, either (i) track the "Turn" if docs are sent out via IC; or (ii) upon download of the document user is prompted with box that asks if the "Turn" will now be with the Counterparty.

Agreed - it is far too manual and ad hoc. To make it more precise, I would say ask the question after every upload/email action and not default the answer at any point because an email could be sent internally as well as externally. I also get frustrated that the metrics only report the Agreement is either in 'Counterparty hands' or 'Our hands'. One of our aims when purchasing Ironclad was to show how much time the Agreement spent with Legal. This is not possible as the metric result is a binary 'US/Internal' or 'THEM/External', ideally, I would like that to be more granular. Cold asking the user to make a selection at the upload/email point make this possible, i.e:

AFTER THIS ACTION, will the Agreement turn be with:

a) Counterparty?

b) Legal?

c) Sales?

d) Other internal Dept.

This may seem a step too far but, I would like to hear other's views on the need for accuracy of the turn feature and for a more granular metric on whose turn the document is in. Would they be willing to have more pain at the upload/email stage to get that metric? Will the above suggestion work even or is the turn dependent on ID? Thanks
