I've been testing Ironclad's AI and regular contract playbooks for several months and have encountered a few persistent issues. I'm hoping someone here might have had better luck or could offer advice.
-
Custom Clause Feature: When trying to create a custom clause, such as a single sentence for payment terms, the system keeps picking up the entire paragraph instead. Ironclad support has confirmed that this works as intended, but it doesn't meet my needs.
-
Fallback Clause Approval: Whenever a user selects a fallback clause and inserts it into the contract, it automatically assigns a legal approver. There is a condition in the overall workflow that assigns a legal approver if it is 3P paper or redlines, but I was hoping there was a way to make exceptions for fallbacks, but it doesn't seem that is available. I would prefer a legal approver to only be assigned if the redlines are not standard fallback clause or if it is not generated from the playbook.
Despite contacting Ironclad support, I haven't received a satisfactory solution. They maintain that the system is functioning as designed.
Has anyone here successfully used these features in Ironclad? If so, could you share your success story, tips, or workarounds that helped you implement playbooks? So far, I haven't seen or heard of anyone successfully implementing them. I want to ensure that I'm not wasting more time on this if it won't ultimately benefit our company.
Thanks in advance for any insights!
