Me and my team at companjon.com started using Ironclad this year. During implementation we encountered several issues that we tried to solve with Ironclad support. They tried and were very responsive but could not really help. Instead, support proposed that we post and discuss our problems here in the community forum. It would be great if community could help us. After using now Ironclad for a couple of months, , we find ourselves disillusioned and a little bit desperate. However, before changing providers, we first want to be really sure that the problem is not us.
Problem 1/8: Online editor does not offer WYSIWYG
The online editor is a great tool as it allows to send a link of the document to our internal stakeholders, they can easily review / comment, without us having to send around e-mails / attachments.
However, the editor seems not to be able to correctly shoe the formatting. E.g. we have contracts where no or wrong numbering is shown for paragraphs / titles. Also line breaks are not shown correctly, font types are changed, indents are wrong, and other formatting is not shown correctly.
I did share some of the documents with the wrong formatting with Ironclad support, but they told me that they are not able to understand or explain what causes these wrong formats.
My question to the community: Does anyone have a template / document they use that is shown correctly in the editor? It can be very simple, but should at least include numbered titles (up to three levels) and numbered paragraphs. Any other tips how these formatting issues of the online editor can be avoided, or minimised? Does anyone have a tip on numbering paragraphs / titles (this is one of the biggest problems, as it is difficult to discuss an agreement if Ironclad shows a different paragraph numbering, see screenshots below).
PS: Yes, I do know that the final document shows all formatting correctly, and that this problem does not persist if you edit the document in word. However, editing in word causes other issues (see Issue 2/8). Also we chosen Ironclad as we wanted a platform where all our internal stakeholders can easily edit document online, without having to use word.
