Me and my team at companjon.com started using Ironclad this year. During implementation we encountered several issues that we tried to solve with Ironclad support. They tried and were very responsive but could not really help. Instead, support proposed that we post and discuss our problems here in the community forum. It would be great if community could help us. After using now Ironclad for a couple of months, , we find ourselves disillusioned and a little bit desperate. However, before changing providers, we first want to be really sure that the problem is not us.
Problem 4/8: Customisation is great, but at the same time I would have welcomed if Ironclad would offer standard / universal workflows that allow start using the platform in kind of a "plug&play" approach.
What do I mean with "universal" workflow? A workflow that can be used for own and third party paper, that asks for key metadata (own party, counterparty, etc.) and that includes for the own paper sub-workflow an "empty" contract template that can be used for all kind of contracts. An "empty" contract template is a document that contains the parties, the structure of the contract (preamble, definitions, main contract body, signature field, annexes), and some standard boilerplate language you can find in every contract (force majeure, confidentiality, entire agreement, jurisdiction / applicable law, etc.). Of course, this document is also formatted such that it is shown correctly in view, online editor and word mode.
The beauty and simplicity of such universal workflow is that teams can start using it from day one, by simply initiating the workflow, adding the metadata, and then uploading a contract or using the template, and copy and paste in all specific wording of the contract. This works in particular well for simple and short contracts. But even for long contracts this would be faster and more efficient if such contracts are not used often, or just once.
My question to the community: Is there any sub-group or group here who has worked on such "universal" workflow, or are there any teams who have created such a "universal" workflow and would be willing to share their experiences, eventually also the workflow?
