Me and my team at companjon.com started using Ironclad this year. During implementation we encountered several issues that we tried to solve with Ironclad support. They tried and were very responsive but could not really help. Instead, support proposed that we post and discuss our problems here in the community forum. It would be great if community could help us. After using now Ironclad for a couple of months, , we find ourselves disillusioned and a little bit desperate. However, before changing providers, we first want to be really sure that the problem is not us.
Problem 5/8: We uploaded a couple of hundred contracts with Smart Import and encountered the issue that it is not possible to customize or change how Smart Import works, including that it is not possible to change the minimum data that needs to be validated for records that have been added with Smart Import.
E.g. we have several legal entities that may enter a contract as party, and I expected that I can simply customize the data that has to be validated after a smart import by adding a requirement that validation requires to add and define our own entity that is a party to the contract. Support informed that this is not possible, with the result that we now for each record validation have to go through the cumbersome process of clicking on "Add Property", search for "Companjon Entity" (the custom field we defined for our entity", and then switching to the Contract Info section, select there "Companjon Entity" and add the correct legal entity. Quite a cumbersome process if you have to do this a couple of hundred times.
We also defined for us some minimum information we want each record to include. Also here it seems that this is not possible to do through the verification process as there seems no customization possible. Our workaround is to define a view that contains all the minimum information and then to check sporadically if this information is complete for all our records.
My question to the community: Did you encounter the same issues when using Smart Import? Did you define minimum information for each record, and if yes which? How do you control that all records include all defined minimum metadata?
