Our team at Roku is trying to solution for a particular use case. We have a workflow that creates a draft based off our template. We also have lots of advanced conditions built in with our approval matrix. We usually have about 3-4 approvals based off the metadata, and have conditions to loop in 7 different legal subgroups and different subject matters for each group.
Sometimes our clients can be eager and send out V1 of the draft before any attorney can take a look at what the agreement is trying to accomplish.
We thought about gating the document from being emailed & downloaded, but that would require duplicating each approval (the first to loop in the attorney to approve the draft to be sent out, and the second once the agreement is ready for signature). However, this adds unnecessary work to our legal team.
Has anyone else found a creative way to deter users from sending out drafts without using the feature that blocks downloads & emails?
