As a long time systems administrator one of the things I really struggle with is the flow of building on the platform. I don't understand why workflow designer is only available in the production instance and not the sandbox. I don't think it makes sense to edit and modify my production workflows to open them up and test them in the sandbox.
I know its fairly easy to return to previous versions, etc. but I'm just so used to BUILD in Sandbox, Test in Sandbox, and then deploy to production that I'm having a really hard time adjusting to this workflow, especially now that our workflows have gotten somewhat large and complex.
I suppose this is mostly a venting post but I was hoping some of you out there may have some tips/tricks for how you manage this effectively.
