Hi,
Is it possible to link in-progress workflow to another workflow?
At this time, I don't believe so. However, this would be a huge enhancement! I haven't found a viable workaround yet either.
This is a popular request and there are a couple other threads on it. Its probably one of the top wants I've seen on here.
We desperately need this! 😀
@neha_mengarthy @Jessica_Young @Tuffer_Harris @Kyle_Rhodes Thank you all for your feedback! You're right that this is a common request. I'm going to move this post to the Idea Exchange to ensure we have the right teams tracking it.
I'm currently trying to figure out a way to merge documents together for the signature step from different workflows and it seems that's not supported.
For example, we have one team owning the creation of our SOWs but the Legal Team owning the creation of the T&Cs and Order Form so the workflows would be separate to handle creation, review, etc. However, if the SOW is for the same opportunity as the T&Cs and Order Form, we send them together for signature. There would be some opportunities without any need to combine (i.e. SOW only opportunity).
Has anyone figured out a way to handle something like this in Ironclad? Without losing visibility for metrics in either workflow (turn time, execution time, etc.).
@Cathy_Stover I think your best bet is to combine all docs into one workflow design and then have a question where the user selects which docs need to be included in the particular workflow, so that only those docs generate and are included in the package. Then you could organize the review/approvals needed on the workflow design based on the docs that get included. We do something similar and it can be tedious to set up, but works well in practice.
The downside is metrics wouldn't be captured separately -- not sure how important that is for your team.
Not yet unless you create a field for that, but we are working on how to better help you manage related workflows.
Many people at our company have requested this feature - I'd love to see it implemented soon!
