Issue with Updating End Dates in Parent Agreements and Amendments in Ironclad

Hi Ironclad Community,

I hope everyone is doing well. I wanted to reach out to see if anyone else has encountered a similar issue and to discuss potential solutions.

Issue:
When we amend an agreement, the end date of the parent agreement and any related previous amendments are not automatically updated by Ironclad. This results in agreements appearing as expired in the dashboard, even though their end dates have been amended.

Discussion:
Does anyone else face this issue? If so, how have you addressed it? Is there an Ironclad functionality that we are not aware of that allows us to automatically update the end dates and other properties of parent agreements and related amendments automatically? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Proposed Solution:
Currently, we are considering manually updating the end dates and total dollar amounts in the parent agreement and related amendments when conducting the archiving step. However, we are concerned about the additional manual work this solution presents. Additionally, we are considering introducing an extra property in the parent agreement to track the original end dates and dollar amounts of the agreement.

Same, it's all manual which makes it hard to keep up with, opens the door for mistakes and misses in keeping up with both the amendments and parent contracts. Thanks for putting this into the idea exchange!

I feel your pain. This is something I have to update manually like others have said. Added a Kudo to your post so hopefully this gets traction for the support team to work on.
