R3 Acknowledgement
Hi all,
I’m Michel Feaster, Ironclad’s Chief Product Officer. I wanted to personally share an update on our recent product release — what we’ve learned, and more importantly, what we’re doing to improve going forward.
Over the past few months, we’ve been evolving our release process to deliver enhancements faster and more reliably on a six week cadence, while giving you earlier visibility and better tools to prepare. Many of you participated in our Early Access Program and offered thoughtful, actionable feedback — thank you. While not everything made it into this release, please know your input is shaping what comes next.
That said, it is clear we have room for improvement, so I want to acknowledge that. Our intent was to (1) reduce confusion and clicks so our customers don’t have to hunt in different places for contracts in various stages and (2) to ease the burden on approvers who often struggle to find next steps in a contract workflow.
The most common things we’re hearing that we will address immediately include:
- We’ll make it possible to double click directly into a contract page, so you don’t have to click a preview open, then click again to view the page.
- We’ll also add an edit button to the preview pane directly on the Dashboard
- We’re adding a default repository view for all records (whether imported or archived)
- We will ensure the count of contracts in each view is visible
We also heard your feedback around the timing of communication, the impact on your workflows, and how changes were rolled out. Some of you shared that you didn’t receive the communications in time, or didn’t have enough runway to prepare. We understand how disruptive that can be, especially when these updates affect your teams, processes, and even your customers. We take this seriously — and so we’re making some future changes to our release and enablement process:
- Improving release communication: We’re building in more structured lead time and milestone updates to give you more advance notice.
- Better training: We’re aligning our documentation, training, and in-product guidance to help you and your teams navigate changes more confidently.
- Deeper engagement: We’re offering more opportunities to connect directly with our product team and get your questions answered.
Here are a few ways to get support and stay informed:
If you’ve run into bugs or have feedback about the experience, please open a support ticket — we’re reviewing every submission and prioritizing improvements and fast follow features. This is just the beginning, so stay tuned, we'll continue to update you on the ways we’re taking action. More updates will be delivered over the coming weeks.
And, thank you for holding us accountable, for your passion and engagement, and for growing with us as we evolve.
Best,
— Michel
