Idea: Add CC participants to a workflow, not just Approvers

Use case: In addition to approvers, sometimes we want to include other participants to a workflow based on a condition, but we do not want them to be Approvers/Reviewers, just CC'd as a participant.

The functionality should be the same as the Approver set up, but the user is brought in as a CC only.

You could send them a notice using a custom email or just tag them in the workflow if the requirement is ad hoc.

Can you do that dynamically like you can with Approvers?

Seems like a heavier workaround. My request still stands.

Also - I may want to bring in a CC participant in Step 2 (after all approvers in Step 1).

Custom emails only trigger at the initial Create step or after all approvals are done and the Review step is complete.

We want sales managers as participants [only] in all sales contract workflows but not as approvers because their approval has already been obtained prior to the initiation of the IC workflow, and their required approval can be a bottleneck and otherwise becoming more and more futile.

@David_Wieseneck Our product team said - This would allow you to automatically cc recipients for your Signature Packets when they go out for signature. Could potentially be a workaround if your CC participants only need to be looped in after approvals are done.

Huh? @Joe_Nguyen - Ironclad already has a capability called "Participants"

All I am asking is for us to dynamically add them in to the workflow based on conditions, Just like approvers. Currently I need to manually add them to the workflow.

It took a while for me to find where these settings live as they're a bit hidden in the Signature menu. You can find it in the Sign tab > Settings > Signature Experience. You'll need to hit a carrot button to open up these settings but they'll be visible once you do.

I see lots of work arounds suggested here and in the other related threads but I have a current business need to add a certain manager as a participant on all SAAS record types as a viewer. I'd like this to be automated vs tagging or having to set up emails every time this type of requests comes up.

@Sophia_Song @Joe_Nguyen is this available yet? My company really needs this feature as well. We have been making folks who really just need to be CCd on a workflow an "approver" and its causing significant bottlenecks in our workflows as they are not approving them quick enough (because they really only need to be CC'd). The direct result and feedback I'm getting is that the delay caused by this is causing business folks to try and work outside of ironclad, and are complaining that they don't want to use Ironclad - aka the opposite of what I would assume Ironclad wants as it defeats the purpose of having it at all. Please advise if this is on the roadmap if not already an option.
