Hi Ironclad Product Team,
I’d like to suggest the development of specific metadata tags that are relevant to Amendments, to improve tracking and reporting across the platform.
Currently, there are limited out-of-the-box tags that capture the unique context of agreements. To provide more robust metadata and support reporting and lifecycle management, please consider adding the following tag types specifically for amendments:
- Original Agreement Title – A text field linking the amendment to the agreement it modifies
- Original Agreement Effective Date – To clarify the original term start
- Amendment Effective Date – To capture when the amendment goes into effect
- Amendment Type – Dropdown (e.g., Renewal, Term Extension, Scope Expansion, Pricing Update, Termination, etc.)
- Amendment Number – To support tracking of sequential amendments (e.g., Amendment No. 2)
- Amended Provisions – Multi-select or checklist for identifying which sections of the original agreement are impacted (e.g., Term, Pricing, Scope, Indemnity, etc.)
- Superseded Documents – A field or link that identifies prior versions being replaced or update
These tags would be incredibly helpful for teams managing complex contract families and reporting on changes over time.
Thank you for considering this enhancement!
Best,
Isis
