I’d like to propose a feature enhancement that would be incredibly valuable to admins: the ability to export all workflow conditions across an instance into a CSV file.
This export would ideally include:
- Workflow name
- Property or metadata tag used in the condition
- Full conditional expression (including nested logic)
- The resulting action or affected element (e.g., clause visibility, field behavior, approval routing)
To provide some context: I’ve stepped into an environment with numerous workflows that are heavily configured with complex conditional logic. Unfortunately, these conditions weren’t centrally documented, which makes understanding how the system behaves—especially when troubleshooting or planning changes—far more difficult than it needs to be.
Having the ability to export all workflow conditions would offer several key benefits:
- Centralized documentation – Makes it possible to audit and understand logic across the platform, especially for admins inheriting legacy configurations.
- Easier troubleshooting – Helps quickly pinpoint misconfigured logic when clauses or fields aren’t behaving as expected.
- Cross-workflow optimization – Enables admins to identify redundancies or inconsistencies and standardize logic across templates.
- Faster onboarding – Greatly reduces the time it takes for new admins or consultants to come up to speed on an instance.
- Impact analysis – Allows for better risk assessment when modifying properties or logic.
- Improved integration mapping – Supports Salesforce or other system integrations by making conditional logic visible and mappable.
- Even a basic export available through the Admin or Workflow Designer interface would dramatically increase visibility and operational efficiency.

Even if this started as an export from the Admin > Workflows section or via the Workflow Designer, it would be a game changer for managing and scaling Ironclad effectively.
