Our Sales team often sends the email to counterparties to view a document before routing the document for signature to the remaining counterparty to sign.
The envelope order looks like this:
1. Counterparty View
2. Counterparty Signer
3. Company Signer
Does anyone have a solution that they've used to work around this lack of product functionality? The three options[1] we've pursued are clunky for our customer and not usable.
[1] options
1. make the intended viewer the first 'signatory' and teach the counterparty to re-assign the document to the appropriate signer - doesn't work because its an additional step of friction for our customers.
2. Use signature initials for the first signer, and fully signatory on the later ones - doesn't work because Docusign UI after the initials is misleading and references 'completed signature
3. Use the new 'stamping' functionalty - doesn't work because it asks the customer to add a new stamp icon each time, and this would be confusing for regions where 'stamping' isn't a commonly understood step.
