Hi Community,
It's been a while. Quick question to anyone who has the answer.
I have a workflow built around my client's standard contract template, which will include a single consolidated playbook. In most cases, I expect them to negotiate against my client's template. However, there are situations where the counterparty declines to use my client's paper and requests that we negotiate against their template instead.
In this workflow, I intend to negotiate against both documents depending on which party's paper is used-- and there are certain key terms that I plan to govern through the same playbook across both templates.
Use Case:
If a workflow is initiated using my client's template, but the counterparty provides their template, and my client proceeds to negotiate using the counterparty's template instead:
- What is the supported method for replacing the system-generated template with the counterparty's document in an in-flight workflow?
- Are there recommended configuration or best practices for managing a single playbook that governs negotiations for both my client's paper and their counterparty's paper?
- If replacing the system generated template mid-workflow is not supported, what alternative workflow model does Ironclad recommend (e.g., conditional selection between template and launch?)
- Additionally, is it possible to move a document from the "Signature Packet" area to "Exclude from Signature Packet" area, and vice-versa, once a workflow is already in progress? If so, what is the correct method and any system limitations we should be aware of?
Looking forward to receiving and answer! Thanks Community!
