Something that comes up ALL the time (and I've already fielded THREE questions this week) is massive confusion about this page:
The elusive partially signed document.
I would say... 50% of the time if not more, people check the box for who needs to sign instead of who already signed. And I can't fault them (too much) for it. Sure, I've said to them literally a million times... (screenshot of the message I've send on a weekly basis)
But in their defense, the page says "Select included signatures. Select at least one signature to include in your upload. You have not selected any signer for this packet."
I can easily read this as "Select a signer, as in who needs to sign, this document." Keep in mind as well that a number of our reps are international, non-native English speakers and that no one, absolutely no one, is going to read past maybe the very top instruction.
This wording is atrocious and I'm sick of fielding this question so very, very, very often.
Suggestions:
- Change "Select included signatures" to "Select who has ALREADY signed the document" (and yes, keep it caps, or bold, or just really obvious)
- Change it to "Select who needs to sign" and mark the unchecked as Signed
- A third option that y'all come up with that fixes this problem because I'm not in UX but this is a very real problem for me.
I know this was a long post to complain about one thing, but I hope it illustrates how incredibly frustrating this simple problem is and the absolute headache it creates for me. I've sent this feedback to Ironclad, but wanted to post here as well to make sure I'm not the only one fielding this issue on a weekly basis.
