Greetings Ironclad Community:
I am seeking the most efficient solution for the following project:
Project: Legacy Contract Clean-up after migration from Salesforce (SFDC or SF) to Ironclad (IC)
Task: Bulk Name Change to Name/Contract Name field - Aligning legacy records with new naming convention and mass removal of [SF IMP]
Recently, we migrated several thousand records from SFDC to IC and to identify SFDC legacy contracts, all migrated records were imported with [SF IMP] via the Name/Contract Name field.
Name/Contract Name Example: [SF IMP] Counterparty Name Record Type
Now, we would like to bulk remove [SF IMP]. I have asked Ironclad if there is a way to do this and they responded to my question as follows:
The Name/Contract Name field is not exposed as an editable property in the metadata import process, which is why you are unable to select it for bulk updates.
Currently, my solution is:
Update the Name/Contract Name field in bulk using the Metadata Import feature. There is a manual component to this process, as I will need to individually remove [SF IMP] from each record (Several thousand):
- Export contract records, update the Name field in my spreadsheet as needed, and then re-import the updated file back into Ironclad.
Has anyone else in the Ironclad community encountered and/or resolved a similar challenge? If so, what was the process? Workaround?
